This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Regional Business Director, Diabetes in United States.

This leadership role is responsible for driving regional commercial performance across a multi-state territory within the diabetes care market.
You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Business Managers to deliver strong sales outcomes and expand access to innovative therapies for patients living with diabetes.
The role combines strategic planning and field execution, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and regional business needs.
You will play a key part in shaping go-to-market strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and optimizing managed care and reimbursement pathways.
A strong focus is placed on performance management, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration with internal partners.
This is a high-impact field leadership position requiring frequent travel and close engagement with healthcare professionals, key accounts, and thought leaders.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Territory Business Managers to achieve and exceed sales and performance objectives
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize regional business plans aligned with commercial strategy and corporate goals
  • Establish clear performance expectations, track KPIs, and ensure consistent accountability across the team
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent with strong potential in the diabetes commercial landscape
  • Conduct frequent field visits, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to maximize team effectiveness
  • Identify market barriers, competitive threats, and growth opportunities, and recommend strategic adjustments
  • Collaborate with market access, trade, and cross-functional partners to improve reimbursement and patient access pathways
  • Manage regional budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and return on investment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including physicians, payers, hospitals, and thought leaders
  • Support pre-launch and post-launch engagement strategies to drive adoption and market penetration
  • Foster ethical leadership, teamwork, and a strong customer and patient-focused culture
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred
    • 8–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or bioscience commercial roles (sales, account management, training, or marketing)
    • 3–5 years of leadership experience managing field sales teams in a competitive environment
    • Strong experience in the diabetes market and related healthcare ecosystems strongly preferred
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams
    • Demonstrated success in translating strategy into execution and achieving commercial targets
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage performance through metrics and KPIs
    • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities
    • Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and work flexible hours when required
    • Valid US state-issued driver’s license required
