This role is a high-impact commercial leadership opportunity focused on driving scientific adoption and revenue growth across a defined US territory within the life sciences and proteomics space. The Regional Business Manager will be responsible for building and executing strategic sales plans, developing long-term customer relationships across academic, biotech, pharma, and government accounts, and positioning innovative proteomics technology as a market leader. Operating in a fast-paced, field-based environment, this role blends strategic account management with hands-on execution, requiring strong scientific fluency and commercial acumen. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across product, marketing, and operations to shape market strategy and customer engagement. This is a highly visible position with direct impact on commercial success and market expansion.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a territory-based commercial strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets across academic, biotech, pharma, and government accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships while positioning advanced proteomics solutions and delivering impactful scientific presentations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle in a complex B2B environment, including prospecting, pipeline development, forecasting, and deal closure.
  • Leverage CRM tools to track activity, maintain accurate forecasting, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to communicate customer needs and influence product development and market strategy.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market reach and accelerate adoption of the technology.
  • Support broader commercial team initiatives and contribute to the growth and scaling of the sales organization.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field is required; MBA or advanced business degree is preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in life sciences capital equipment or scientific sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
    • Strong knowledge of biomarker discovery, proteomics, or related life science markets.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and develop strategic customer relationships.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and strong ability to manage forecasting, pipeline, and account planning activities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear business value.
    • Highly self-motivated, independent, and adaptable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
    • Strong business acumen with a customer-centric and long-term relationship-building mindset.
    • Benefits

      • Base salary range between $140,000 and $160,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and location
