Job Description

Team: Others

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Regional Nurse Case Manager in the United States.
This role is pivotal in supporting oncology patients by navigating complex access, reimbursement, and patient support programs. The Regional Nurse Case Manager will serve as a single point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, insurers, and specialty pharmacies, ensuring timely and compliant access to prescribed therapies. The position emphasizes patient advocacy, clinical knowledge, and strategic problem-solving, requiring an independent and detail-oriented professional. You will manage the lifecycle of patient cases, proactively addressing barriers such as prior authorization delays, denials, and specialty pharmacy coordination. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners is essential, as is maintaining rigorous documentation to support compliance and quality. This role operates within a patient-centric model, ensuring that no patient is left behind, while offering flexibility in a remote work environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients throughout the therapy process, including benefit verification, prior authorizations, appeals, and specialty or non-commercial pharmacy coordination.
  • Monitor all patient cases for delays or obstacles and coordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, insurers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure seamless transition of patients from Expanded Access Programs to approved therapy access with urgency and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of access barriers, interventions, and outcomes to support regulatory compliance.
  • Foster collaboration and a “one-team” approach with internal teams and external partners, including field reimbursement, pharmacy, medical, quality, and patient access leadership.
  • Uphold a culture of patient advocacy, compliance, urgency, and customer-centric care.
  • Participate in meetings and external engagements as needed to support patient access and program improvements.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license; advanced degrees such as MSN, MBA, or MHA are a plus.
  • 7–9+ years of experience in oncology, patient access, market access, or pharmaceutical patient services programs.
  • Proven experience supporting specialty or oral oncology product launches, particularly in start-up or high-growth environments.
  • Strong knowledge of payer dynamics, specialty pharmacy and distribution models, reimbursement processes, and patient support program operations.
  • Expertise in HIPAA regulations and Adverse Event (AE) reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing complex patient cases.
  • Experience in targeted oncology therapies, rapid-growth companies, or regional patient support operations preferred.
  • Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $150,000 – $189,000 USD, adjusted for location and experience.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision.
  • Flexible remote work environment with regional alignment in the Eastern United States.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, learning, and development within oncology patient support.
  • Collaborative and mission-driven work culture focused on patient advocacy and access.
