This role will be responsible for the Atlanta, GA territory as well as Alabama and Mississippi. Please note, this role is a REMOTE role. It is also an individual producer role (no direct reports).Although it's a remote role, this individual will need to live in the supporting region, preferably Atlanta, GA.
This position focuses on identifying and delivering new business sales and retention through aggressive prospecting, establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major brokers, insurance consultants, and clients. The role also includes learning and staying informed on health care trends, market intelligence and product information for all product solutions within the Luminare Health portfolio. Establishing, updating and managing target opportunity lists, pipeline reports, leveraging marketing programs, educational seminars, managing both external and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process and contributing to sales planning and forecasting.
Responsibilities include:
Prospecting & Selling:• Work with consultants and brokers to increase visibility of the Luminare Health brand in assigned territory to create awareness and opportunities to sell Luminare Health's products and services.• Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, cultivation new relationships, conducting market analysis and cold calling.• Achieve annual new business sales objectives by successfully leveraging existing relationships, and developing new relationships with benefit consultants and insurance brokers.• Develop strategies to acquire new business through brokers via regular communication, personal visits, newsletters, and updates on new products, industry news and other topics of importance.
Support Client Needs:• Provide quality consultative services to clients to thoroughly understand their needs and ensure our services provide maximum return to clients and Luminare Health.• Work closely with Client Management during implementation to avoid client disruption.• Identify new service offerings and work closely with key people within the organization in an effort to expand services and profitability.
Proactive Collaboration & Reporting• Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to include; Implementation Manager, Client Management and Underwriting, in support of broker, consultant and client needs.• Utilize Salesforce to actively track, report, and forecast sales activities, providing an accurate picture of pipeline, forecasts and metric• Attend sales and other business meetings as required• Other duties as needed/assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of previous experience selling into the broker and/or benefits consultant communities or related sales experience.
- Solid understanding of self-funding marketplace, and market and competitors.
- Seasoned sales professional who understands the importance of a consultative approach to development and maintenance of client relationships.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills; persistent and patient in endeavoring to fully understand customer/producer needs and offer valuable information and solutions.
- Ability to work independently, make good decisions consistent with Luminare Health objectives and in a timely manner, and handle conflict with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional organizational skills, adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously, committed to follow through and completing assignments in a timely & professional manner
- Interpersonal effectiveness with proven ability to establish/maintain mutually respectful relationships with managers, peers, support staff, agents/brokers and clients; handle conflict, resolve complex issues, negotiate, achieve consensus and promote team spirit.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field.
- Familiarity with Salesforce

The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
Min to Max Range:
$64,700.00 - $121,500.00
