Regulatory Compliance Project Manager - Remote US

The Opportunity:

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Regulatory Compliance Project Manager to join our legal team and support the Assistant General Counsel in ensuring the legal and regulatory compliance of our business operations.

You will be responsible for partnering with several internal teams including Privacy, InfoSec, Marketing, Product, etc. to evaluate and assess operational compliance and regulatory risks. You will work with business leaders and partner with teams to identify opportunities to mitigate business risk by designing, developing, and ultimately helping launch additional compliance focused initiatives within business and tech teams. The successful candidate will propose innovative approaches and strategies throughout the business life-cycle, while also being able to monitor and improve existing compliance frameworks.

This position reports directly to the Assistant General Counsel and involves working closely with various departments across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Partnering with Seamless.AI legal, business, and engineering stakeholders to identify regulatory, compliance, or other risks.
• Reporting current state and potential changes to the status quo to Leadership on a regular cadence.
• Work closely with the legal department to identify and investigate compliance issues and risks and suggest ways to prevent or resolve them.
• Oversee and conduct data privacy impact assessments, manage DSAR workflows, and provide guidance on data processing activities to mitigate risks, as well as artificial intelligence deployment to ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations.
• Participate in 3rd party SOC 2, ISO 27001, Privacy, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory audits, as needed.

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a similar field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a regulatory compliance capacity
• Experience with OneTrust is highly preferred. Additional privacy software experience is a plus (e.g. Vanta, Drata, TrustArc, etc.)
• Proficiency in compliance management software.
• Extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements and practices in the data industry including relevant data privacy landscapes (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CANSPAM, PIPEDA, etc.), and AI deployment. Relevant Data Privacy certifications an asset.
