About the Job
The Release Manager role is about ensuring excellence in how Self Financial manages, plans, schedules and executes software delivery through our release lifecycle. Â
Professionals working in this job role are answerable to the Release Management Process and drive the actions necessary for deploying new software changes while also managing expectations with process stakeholders.Â
The Release Manager primarily works with Product Development Leaders (Engineering Manager, Software Team Leads, Software Engineers, Product Managers), Site Reliability Engineering and Test Developers and facilitates changes into our Operational Systems Environment.

 What you'll be doing:
- Executing the Release Activities across Self Financial’s Engineering teams
- Ensures the quality, function, and innovation of Self Financial’s Release Process
- Coordinating resources across Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams
- Reporting outcomes of the release process to stakeholders
- Participating in organization-wide change management processes
- Creating runbooks as they relate to the execution of our release process
- Creating scripting to automate the actions of our release process
- Tracking risks that may affect release scope, schedule or qualityÂ
What you’ll have:
- 2+ years of experience as a software release manager or similar experience
- Proficient in release pipelines tooling like GitLab, Jenkins Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline
- Proficient understanding of Software Development Life Cycle concepts
- Proficient in Source Control Management
- Experience in Linux and bash scriptingÂ
- Experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS)
