Whom we are looking for:
Think Academy U.S. is looking for Part-time Remote Teaching Assistant. Teacher Assistants are expected to understand math concepts, and provide in-class and after class assistant through designated platforms, that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and develop profound problem solving skills.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with class instructor to provide assistance to students during online class
- Actively engage and manage a class size of 28 students each
- Prepare and teach lessons using Think Academy's curriculum and teaching guidance
- Homework grading, as well as other key teaching related services (such as 1v1 tutor)
- Communicate well with students and parents to provide timely and customized feedbacks
- Usually 15 - 20 hours per week, mostly during weekends or weekday afternoons
- Bilingual in Mandarin (Speaking + Reading) is REQUIRED
How You Can Be Qualified:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, all majors are welcome as long as you're passionate in kids and math teaching; Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
- You are still eligible to apply if you are still pursuing or in progress of obtaining a Bachelor's degree
- Prior math teaching experiences is not required, but a big plus
- Super passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly responsible and love to get along with kids
- Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching without interrupt (Spring semester: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall semester: Aug - Dec)
- Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends
Pay Range:
- $75 - $100/lesson (depends on class type and length)
