What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Remote QA Application Testing Specialist to work alongside the application team to support multiple Forest Service applications of varying complexity. Candidate should have experience with developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing manual and automated test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies to ensure compliance with software/system requirements. You will work on an agile team that is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and is made up of dedicated and fun-loving professionals who are respectful, supportive, and appreciative of each other.

Specific Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Identifying test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
• Developing, documenting, and maintaining functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
• Executing and evaluating manual or automated test cases and report test results.
• Participating in, or holding and facilitating test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
• Identifying any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Ensuring that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
• Isolating, replicating, and reporting defects and verifying defect fixes.

What You Will Need:

• 4+ years of QA or related technical experience.
• 4+ years of experience working on full lifecycle software development projects.
• Create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases.
• Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
• Liaison with development, project management, and customer support.
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Excellent communication and team skills.
• BA/BS degree - Relevant experience may be substituted (Additional 4 years of experience can be substituted for degree. i.e. 9 years total experience without degree)

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident or EAD is required for the position
• Candidate must successfully pass a Federal Background National Agency Check/Investigation

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Section 508 Trusted Tester
• Experience using automated test tools, like Selenium, to record and play back test scripts. Really nice to have
• Experience with GitHub
• Experience with Government systems

The annual salary range for this position is $95,800.00-$143,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
