A Sr. Structural Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available via remote support. This job is a full-time direct or contract position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and 15+ years of experience. In this role you will evaluate a wide variety of component designs utilizing advanced analytical and FEA tools.

Job Duties:

* Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress analysis methods

* Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer

* Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated

* Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings

* Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers

* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer

* Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others

Required:

* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent

* Fifteen or more years of experience performing structural analysis with strong technical ability

* Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes

* Hand calculations skills and advanced finite element analysis capabilities using ANSYS (FEA)

* Static and fatigue analysis experience

* Thermal analysis experience

* Dynamics analysis including modal, random vibration, and shock

* Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines

* Mentoring experience

* Experience taking control of a task from start to finish

* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment

* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Must have excellent computer skills

* Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

* Travel to customer and work site locations as required

Preferred:

* VBA or similar programming skill set

* Experience with analysis of composite structures

* Crack propagation experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $120,640 to $166,400 however Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
