Reports Data Specialist

Position Purpose: Under direct supervision, the Reports and Data Specialist Updates and maintains databases. This position is responsible for developing and generating reports. This position provides technical support to various departments ensuring efficient and accurate data reporting.

• Designs and develops standard, custom and ad hoc reports using data base query tools.• Runs daily, weekly and monthly reports.• Identifies and documents necessary changes to reporting system.• Supports departmental database needs, including maintaining, and updating databases in a variety of applications (i.e. SQL, access)• Resolves data issues (i.e., billing, enrollment procedures, claims, etc.) by researching problems.• Generates and updates analytical reports with spreadsheets and databases.• Reconciles data obtained through multiple sources.• Supports projects that involve reports, applications, project documentations and quality reviews.• May interfaces with customers to gather information about project objectives. Communicates progress on active projects.• Performs as a departmental resource for the training and use of various database systems and applications.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Formal training in computer applications such as spreadsheets or word processing preferred. Requires minimum two years skilled office experience, preferably in a similar industry or environment
