Revenue Accountant

The Basics:

Tanium is looking for a Revenue Accountant who will play a central role within the Global Revenue Recognition team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills. Not only do you hold yourself to the highest level of integrity but you are a self-starter and take ownership in your work product. What you’ll do:

• Review customer contracts and document assessments in deal review checklists to ensure compliance with Tanium’s revenue recognition policy and ASC 606

• Assist with month-end close processes associated with revenue recognition including preparation of journal entries account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis

• Collaborate with Revenue Operations to ensure customer contracts are recorded accurately

• Assist in providing audit support for revenue transactions

• Support the accounting and finance functions by participating in special projects and workflow process improvements

• Review the Company’s Order-to-Cash and revenue recognition processes and recommend improvements to fine tune processes document procedures and enhance controls

• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

We’re looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

• 2+ years experience in public accounting or in a corporate accounting role

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience in the application of ASC 606

• Exceptional attention to detail with an appreciation for accuracy

• Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and proactively manage one’s own work streams

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook applications

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred

• CPA or working towards completing a CPA

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $50000 to $155000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location education skills training and experience.
