About the Job
The Revenue Cycle Optimization Analyst will be an integral part of the Revenue Cycle team working directly with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) leaders on improving processes, identifying quality improvement initiatives, and leading special projects. The RCO Analyst will support the department through documenting procedures, compiling reports/data from various software platforms, summarizing findings, and providing solutions to revenue cycle barriers as it pertains to internal processes or our external vendor partners. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of RCM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asses current software platform functionality to optimize performance and partner with operational leaders to optimize the efficiency of the RCM platforms
- Creates variance reports to identify and trend payment discrepancies (e.g., denials, underpayments, and write-offs etc.), reporting results to leadership on a regular basis
- Continuous improvement to grow partnerships and solve any issues in a manner that is beneficial for ThriveWorks while keeping business objectives at the forefront
- Develops performance dashboards with key performance indicators in conjunction with the SVP and key leaders
- Interprets compiled dashboard data and develops regular reports to explain trends and identify root causes of financial performance for the organization’s leaders
- Participates/Leads the Denial Management Task Force meetings and participates in action plans to resolve root cause
- Partners with the analytics department to identify correct data tables/fields to be utilized in report and metric creation
Skills & Qualifications
- Interprets compiled dashboard data and develops regular reports to explain trends and identify root causes of financial performance for the organization’s leaders
- Analyzes data/reports to identify potential gaps in the department’s reimbursement and workflows
- Project management experience
- Consulting experience
- Stays apprised of current industry best practices and aligns departmental processes with applicable practices as needed
- Honors the organization’s mission statement, vision statement, and values
Requirements
- 3-5 years of healthcare billing or finance experience
- Associate degree
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience working on cross-departmental projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent history of work experience
