The Role: Revenue Cycle Specialist
Location: Irving, TX (Full-time in our Irving, Texas office)
About This Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and action-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist. Come join us!
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will secure real-time insurance benefits eligibility and coverage information for patients through clearinghouse data, insurance company portals, and other methods. This role requires experience with multiple states’ Medicaid, Managed Medicaid and commercial plans.
What You’ll Do:
Insurance Verification:
- Verifies detailed insurance benefits, medical necessity, and authorization/referral guidelines, consistently prioritizing and following the established verification process
- Read and interpret insurance Explanations of Benefits (EOB)/Remittance Advice (RA) with understanding and take appropriate steps to resolve issues.
- Verify all information obtained is correctly documented in the patient's account, in the correct format.
- Communicate with insurance providers via phone and electronically via web portals to validate patient benefits, check authorization requirements, and review authorization status.
General
- Ensures compliance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of responsibility, including supporting other functions and teams within Revenue Cycle.
About You:

- 3+ years experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, to include commercial and government healthcare payors
- 3+ years experience with insurance verification, claim appeals, grievances, and / or denials
- Customer focused and dedicated patient follow up including outbound and inbound calls
- Tech savvy with a curiosity and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Familiarity with electronic patient information systems and knowledgeable of medical software
- High School Diploma
