We are looking for a Data Analyst for our Risk Management & Platform Abuse team. This role reports to the Risk & Abuse team lead.
As a Data Analyst at Podium, you will work closely with team leadership to drive the Risk & Abuse team to be rigorously data-driven. The ideal candidate will have experience creating insights using data that impact the strategy and policy of a team or department. Â
What you will be doing:
- Use advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets
- Design and implement data visualizations dashboards in Tableau
- Identify trends and insights in data to inform strategic business decisions
- Ensure KPI reporting is clear and accurate and report regularly to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain risk alerts
- Solve hard problems that are new to the company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and solve complex business problems
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
What you should have:
- Advanced SQL skills, including proficiency in complex queries, data modeling, and data integration
- Proficient in Tableau or other data visualization tools, with ability to create thoughtful visualizations and dashboards
- Strong analytical and statistical skills, with ability to identify patterns and trends in large sets of data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex data and analysis to non-technical audiences
What we hope you have:
- Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniquesÂ
- Experience in the financial, payments, or risk industry
- Exposure to financial transactional structured and unstructured data, risk classification and credit risk modeling
- Experience designing and building metrics, from conception to building prototypes with data pipelines
- Proficient in other tools such as Python, R, SAS, etc.
