Location: We are a remote first company, and can be located anywhere in the US. 

The Opportunity

As Risk Analyst/Data Analyst you will serve a critical role in managing our credit underwriting solutions. You will partner closely with Risk, Engineering, Product and Operations team members in defining, implementing and testing risk requirements.  You will be responsible for implementing, testing, monitoring and reporting on new risk implementation features, conducting data analysis and utilizing best analytics practices to ensure accurate results. Additionally, this position will require excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as a strong technical background with the ability to problem solve. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to be organized in a fast paced environment while building strong business relationships with internal and external business partners.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Define, implement, test, document, and coordinate implementation of credit decision rules and underwriting models.
• Prepare and present projected impact analysis of policy and decision system implementations.
• Design and develop decision system monitoring reports.
• Collaborate with internal partners on new risk initiatives, advising on credit system requirements and dependencies.
• Collaborate on risk implementation projects with external vendors.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to solve decision system problems and drive system improvements.
• Provide in-depth case analytics support.

What you bring to the team

• 5+ years of analytics experience in a financial setting.
• 3+ years of experience in an academic or professional setting using one or more of the following analytical tools: SQL, R, Python or SAS.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Attention to detail and experience with QA/QC testing.
• Experience creating reports in an analytical tool or in a business intelligence system setting.
• Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science preferred).

Bonus Points

• Experience with BI testing tools and systems.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience in the solar industry.
