Summary: The Risk Operations Associate will join a team that functions as the operational arm of the Fraud, Compliance, and Legal teams. The highly visible role will identify and advance an unusual activity that could pose a financial or reputational threat to the business. The results-driven candidate will drive brand integrity through risk mitigation while focusing heavily on client and partner relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise dashboards for unusual activity, and independently aggregate cases via supplemental data pull using SQL queries in Snowflake.
- Liaise with various internal business units and external partners throughout the course of investigations.
- Drive investigations from discovery to reporting in accordance with SLAs.
- Compose Unusual Activity Reports for the activity that is indicative of fraud, ML, or program misuse.
- Supervise risk-related typologies and make determinations for escalation.
- Manage processes and procedures to mitigate risk and exposure accurately and optimally.
- Own processes in specific typographies and provide reporting to the business.
- Provide high-level reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to the department director and executive-level team.
- Assist in the development of risk-related strategies in our fraud technology to mitigate the high-risk activity.
- Collaborate with management to build out Onbe’s risk mitigation tactics.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of fraud and/or AML investigations experience.
- Understanding of investigations/fraud mitigation/AML fields.
- Proven understanding of data warehouses, PowerBI, and experience manipulating SQL queries.
- Effectively communicate sophisticated data to various audiences through written and verbal channels.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Ability to take initiative and get results by working independently and on a team through effective communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Word.
This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
