RingCentral is currently looking for an RVP of Public Sector Business Development based in the Washington DC/Virginia area. This newly created field leadership position is attributed to the explosive market adoption we're experiencing with 50% YOY revenue....???You will design and lead our Federal sales strategy, while building a winning sales team and implementing a plan for sales to achieve RingCentral's aggressive growth objectives and shape the market.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive market development in the Federal /public sector market to include contract access and large opportunity capture and go to market
  • Owns targeted objectives ,revenue targets, and sales projections.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers in the Federal Civilian along with industry partners and integrators.
  • Develop a business plan and new business sales strategy for each government branch and major programs that ensure tactical penetration and attainment of direct sales quota.
  • Responsible for qualifying, developing and closing new opportunities in the entire Federal government sector.
  • Plan and lead regularly scheduled forecast meetings on a quarterly & monthly cadence
  • Report on sales activity and forecast to RingCentral's leadership team
  • Align and leverage internal resources to build, develop, and close strategic account and wins
  • Design sales plans through competitive analysis and thoughtful product positioning
  • Works closely with internal organizations
  • Provide focused leadership to the sales team that will foster success based on a culture of customer success
  • Evangelize and embed a sales pipeline management process by developing and maintaining executive and senior-level client relationships in key accounts
  • Directly participate in closing deals with target accounts and driving business initiatives for future success

Required Skills/Experience :
  • 2nd or 3rd line leadership leading a Federal team
  • Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization
  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
  • 20+ years of sales leadership experience primarily in the federal sector
  • Proven track record working with C-suite federal customers, partners and industry organizations to help drive awareness and credibility in the market.
  • Highly knowledgeable of the federal marketplace and significant experience working with federal contracting vehicles and methodologies
  • Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
  • Strategic enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings
  • Experience selling cloud-based enterprise applications is strongly preferred
