About the role:

We are the Business Operations / Go To Market team, acting as the tip of the spear leading Samsara’s expansion into two key frontier markets in the Americas: Mexico and Canada! We work cross functionally to assure we are building a scalable motion in our region, focusing our resources to create the right structures, systems, processes, and products essential to new growth.

In this role, you will: 
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, Support, Product, Legal and many other teams to prioritize and execute new initiatives that enable new region growth
  • Troubleshoot and investigate where the largest areas of opportunity lie for our Mexico and Canada businesses, using data to provide actionable insights and prioritize efforts
  • Run experiments and iterate on new bets
  • Tropicalize our internal processes and systems to adapt to markets’ realities
  • Analyze team performance and develop recommendations for increasing team attainment and revenue, and reducing sales cycle time 
  • Develop and evolve key performance metrics to help drive sales productivity
  • Contribute to strategic headcount, quota, pipeline, and incentive planning
  • Identify strategic areas of growth and recommend additional investments, including areas such as new international areas (e.g. Latin America), industry verticals, and customer segments
  • Collaborate with leadership to prepare executive collateral: including memos, sales kickoff slides, business reviews, and executive presentations 
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish, French is a plus)
  • Preferred background: consulting or similar strategic/analytical experience
  • This is a demanding position with high internal visibility, that requires strong priority management and high emotional intelligence 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year institution, MBA is a plus

  • Synthesis skills —capable of looking at large amounts of information and distilling the key takeaways
  • Thrives in an unstructured, fast-paced, and change-heavy environment
  • Strong analytical background 
  • Superb project management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - adaptable and scrappy, with a bias for action
  • Ownership - can own things from start to finish (e.g. execution)
  • Effective - is 80-20 when needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to build strong relationships with executives and cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and enthusiastic about improving efficiencies

We value in-person collaboration and know a change of scenery and quiet space to work is welcomed from time to time, but also appreciate that the world of work has changed.
