About the job

Twilio is looking for a Sales Director, HLS who lives the Twilio Magic to lead our growing team. The right person for this role is a go-getter, who wants to develop and identify new revenue opportunities with new enterprise logos and within our major Accounts. They also have:

  • You should feel comfortable with selling a platform or SaaS, but if you have experience with Contact Centers, Messaging, Call Tracking and other communication solutions even better! 
  • You have experience building teams, managing all monthly forecasting, and can support fiscal planning and revenue tracking for all major accounts in the region.
  • You have 5+ years of experience, at least four of those years managing teams. 
Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • BE AN OWNER: Collaborate with your team and internal cross-functional teams, to get a major account negotiated with a signed contract.
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER"S SHOES: You talk with potential strategic customers, where you spend time learning about their needs, and then through consultation, develop a strategic plan to help their service thrive through the use of Twilio’s communication platform.  
  • DON'T SETTLE: You expertly forecast your team overachieving on their goals, and deftly present your guidance to your VP and COO.

Required:

    • 5+ years of technical solutions selling experience, including 4+ years experience managing a team of account managers or strategic account executives within the SMB/mid-market segment 
    • A solid understanding of selling cloud, API’s, communications, PaaS or consumption based technology experience where customer relationships are dependent on technical performance
    • Experience building high performing sales teams, managing all monthly forecasting, and can support fiscal planning and revenue tracking for all major accounts in the region 
    • Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels
    • Bring data driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting
    • Excellent time management/prioritization skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    •  

Desired:

    • Experience selling a platform, Contact Centers, Messaging, Call Tracking and other communication solutions are a plus!

This role will be remote in the USA.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $182,600 - $228,250.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $182,600 - $228,250.
  • This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
  • This role is eligible to earn commissions. 

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
