As a Sales Director focused on Payers, you will report to our Chief Revenue Officer and sell our clinical data APIs into large regional and national Payer and Payvider market. You will nurture existing opportunities in our sales pipeline and developing new opportunities in partnership with our inside sales team. You are a collaborative closer, that has experience selling software solutions in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities will span from driving the sales process from qualifying new prospects and managing deals to closure.
Our sales team is an important part of our go-to-market strategy as it will allow our team to expand our enterprise footprint and scale to uncover new opportunities. Our goal is to create a positive sales experience and engage prospects in a consultative manner to identify their needs and pain points.
What you will do at Health Gorilla- Sell Health Gorilla solutions to large national and regional Payer accounts such as the Blues, Aetna, United HealthCare, Cigna etc...
- Manage new customer acquisition and driving new revenue and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Understand how Payors can leverage Health Gorilla offerings and drive ROI
- Create pricing proposals, negotiating terms and managing the contract process
- Manage complex contractual, technical, and financial details to support the sales process
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare software sales, specifically selling B2B SaaS and payer/ health plan sales experience.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare marketplace and the challenges payers face across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business
- Has a broad network of relationships with Commercial, Regional, Health Plans and well known in the payor community
- Experience consistently securing multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts with Payor organizations
- Experience with Meddic and Miller Heiman sales methodology is preferred
- A track record of success in sales in startup environments over a sustained period
- Experience selling at the executive level (C-suite, EVP and SVP)
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or equivalent training in business or sales management
- Ability to travel as required
- Health Gorilla takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this role is OTE (50%/50% commission split for base/variable pay): $300,000 - $340,000 plus equity, based on experience and geography. Please note that ranges may be modified at any time, and there is no guarantee offers will be at the top of a posted range.
