Who We Are:

Founded in 2018 by a group of engineers from Stanford, Cisco Meraki, and Samsara, Spot AI was created to deliver on the mission of visually indexing the physical world and empowering people at work with video.  Now we’re a group of almost 100 (and counting!) Spotans who support hundreds of customers like Cheeseman, Mixt and Northland Cold Storage, and thousands of daily users.

In 2021, Spot AI scaled bookings 10x and is continuing to grow aggressively. Who You Are:

You have a strong desire to utilize technical and sales skills to understand the customer’s needs and requirements. You are highly competent in assisting to develop a technical sales strategy and possess the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering. You have worked in a start-up or high growth company and know how to deliver compelling demonstrations and proof of concepts. You are good at juggling multiple opportunities and can switch context without losing focus.

What Excites You:
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute a winning sales strategy for an opportunity
  • Understand customer needs and propose relevant Spot AI solutions
  • Establish technical leadership and be a trusted advisor to the IT stakeholders
  • Plan and successfully execute on Proof-of-Concepts
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers in establishment of configurations and services
  • Execute a smooth hand-off of a customer to post-sales team
  • Participate in product, sales and role-specific trainings so as to remain effective in your role
  • Be able to contribute content for general customer education
  • Assist in responding effectively to RFPs
  • Navigating conversations and handling objections
What Gets Our Attention:
  • 2+ years of sales engineering experience
  • Customer facing experience is essential
  • Strong background in networking, and preferably a background in video applications
  • Knowledge of LANs, WANs (SDWANs) and Virtual Private Clouds, Internet uplinks and Linux Systems etc.
  • Can articulate and guide IT staff with network configurations and deployment scenarios of Spot AIs network appliances.
  • Familiarity with video streaming and packaging formats is an added plus
  • Comfortable keeping up with technology trends in AI and video intelligence
  • Can set up and deliver product demos and carry out proof of concepts
  • Impeccable written communication skills are important
  • Someone who can partner with Account executives and Sales Leaders to prioritize opportunities
  • A team player who is an independent thinker but also cares about collective team success
  • Open, curious and receptive to new ideas and ways of doing things
  • Clear and effective communication internally and with customers
  • Drive to win with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; including handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up
  • Ability to travel occasionally for customer on-site meetings
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred.
