Job Description
Cerner's Hospital Specialty Operations (HSO) Sales team is growing and looking to hire a Sales Executive. In this position, you will identify and qualify potential purchasers of an assigned Cerner solution and supporting technologies and coordinate all sales activities up to and including contract execution. You will maintain client relationships and credibility through ongoing engagement and support, track white space to support opportunities, maintain pipeline and contribute to opportunity forecast for assigned territory. You will also support sales events, including proposal creation, demonstrations and reference visits and create sales orders and review for accuracy based upon client requests, solution requirements, and pre-negotiated terms. Most importantly, you will manage a pipeline and forecast in order to drive sales opportunities to closure against a sales quota. Working Environment
Hybrid or Remote
This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year of Sales, business development, client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
- At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of healthcare sales experience
Expectations
- Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
- Must currently reside in the Kansas City area or live within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
