This role offers the opportunity to drive growth and strategic direction for a key product line in a high-tech industrial and healthcare environment. The Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives, manage customer relationships, and provide market insights to influence product strategy and operational decisions. This position requires a hands-on, proactive approach, with extensive collaboration across internal teams and engagement with clients throughout North America. Success is measured by achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and maintaining strong client satisfaction. The role also involves analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and operational metrics to support informed decision-making. Travel is expected, offering the chance to engage directly with key accounts and stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, plan, and execute sales and marketing strategies and budgets for the assigned product line.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers, acting as the primary point of contact for business development and account management.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and technology trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage sales operations, including expense oversight, forecasting, reporting, and collaboration with customer service, production, and laboratory teams.
  • Support internal teams by providing feedback, prioritizing customer needs, and implementing process improvements to enhance competitiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding market performance, sales progress, and strategic initiatives.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in chemicals, industrial products, or related technical sectors; experience with Nitric Acid or HCN is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage key accounts, build client relationships, and influence sales outcomes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across North America to support customer engagement and business development.
