Position Summary
The Sr Salesforce Developer Analyst will service as a critical technical resource on the GIS Commercial Service team for project implementations and ongoing support of Illumina's global Salesforce Service Cloud and Servicemax system. This role is responsible to provide deep technical knowledge of the system by 1) providing hands on application development and providing technical solutions and 2) reviewing code, mentoring other developers and supporting GIS team members, business stakeholders and vendor resources.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, unit test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform, including writing triggers and developing Visual force pages, managing the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale.
- Strong Salesforce administrative skills which includes developing technical standards and guidelines for Salesforce, coach developers on reusability, best practices and developing comprehensive functional, technical and database design specifications along with approach to integrating Salesforce with multiple external systems
- Ability to lead technical discussions, but able to communicate according to the audience; moving between providing technical data/details or sharing how this technical design would enhance a business process
- Strong analysis skills, to help with production troubleshooting, determining how a change may impact the system across the various objects and across integrated systems
- Collaborate with Service Support teams to define, evaluate, prioritize, and improve features and functionality, including solutions for complex, cross-functional enterprise systems with multiple parties and interests
- Provide frequent project feedback and updates as projects develop (includes flagging issues and helping to identify possible solutions)
- Strong Salesforce configuration skills
Requirements
- 5 yrs of hands-on Salesforce.com development experience including Force.com IDE, APEX, Visualforce, migration tools, SOSL, SOQL, and web services
- 3 years working with in an integrated environment supporting multiple applications within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Experience with front end languages and backend tools for web engineering such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
- Certified Salesforce Advanced Developer
- Position requires being on-call for critical support issues
- Completion of several Salesforce.com integration and extension projects in development and lead technical roles.
- Ability to use critical thinking and logic skills to isolate and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Great time management and prioritization skills; Strong ownership of quality in code, client/server communication and user experience/user interface.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
