All new Associates will start off with the same foundational knowledge – through an engaging interactive Induction centered around working in the IBM Way. The induction will introduce them to IBM and IBM Consulting and covers topics including our strategy (Cognitive Enterprise enabled by the Hybrid Cloud) The IBM Way structure eight key offerings market approach methods (including IBM Enterprise Design Thinking IBM Garages and Agile) and our history. They will also be trained on the core consulting and client engagement skills necessary to succeed in GBS.

IBM Consulting Associates job roles are mapped to
one of five career tracks (Consultant Technical Specialist Developer Data Scientist Designer) which set clearly defined expectations around technical and specialized skills development staffing project experiences and progression.
IBM Consulting Associates extends beyond our Associates’ activities during their first year in IBM Consulting. The journey begins with how we identify recruit and onboard new Associates. It moves through an Associates’ training and initial project work considers real-time coaching and feedback and how best to promote opportunities for on-the-job learning and interesting client work going forward.
Ultimately the journey is about how we begin to foster growth by providing continuous holistic development in a world-class business environment over the course of an Associates’ career in IBM Consulting. In other words the primary aim is to introduce Associates into a workplace full of people driven and engaged to support and guide our clients and themselves to new futures.
As an Associate Consultant you will work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for talents who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Associate SAP Consultant at IBM Consulting get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the objective of understanding how our clients operate and do business – which includes some of the world’s most prominent organizations.

We design develop and re-engineer highly complex business processes and the application components and software that support them. You will use a mix of consultative skills business acumen and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients’ business environment and help them succeed.

Within your role as an Associate SAP Consultant you will:
• Become part of client-facing teams that generally consists of consultants subcontractors remote global resources and client employees
• Master process design planning and managing execution of the build and integration of SAP systems
• Specialize in areas and processes such as Record to Report Purchase to Pay Order to Cash Install to Maintain or Master Data Management
• Assist and eventually guide clients in selection implementation (design configuration and testing) and support of SAP Solutions
• Work in a client-facing manner and be expected to specialize within an industry

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Degree in any of the following domains: Engineering Information Technology Business Administration & Economics
• We welcome recent graduates with maximum 1 year of work experience and final-year students with less than 6 months of studies left
• Fluent in Norwegian and English with strong communication skills both in writing and verbally
• Excellent presentation/communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm towards information systems and client facing business consulting
• Willingness to travel depending on business demand
• Eligible to work in Norway and European Union without any restriction

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Consulting experience and/or user experience are an advantage
