Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that delivery teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes
- Holds teams to sprint commitments and helps ensure the team stays focused on sprint priorities
- Facilitates and supports standard sprint ceremonies for the Scrum Team: Scrum, sprint planning, sprint retrospective
- Act as an Agile champion by promoting best practices and providing guidance to scrum teams
- Ensuring transparency into the teams work through the sprint backlog, burndown chart and other Agile metrics
- Identify and communicate risks/issues on schedule, resource capacity and scope from scrum teams
- Helps to resolve team impediments and ensures the team stays focused on the sprint goal
- Works with other Scrum Masters to grow and increase the advancement of the Agile process
- Builds self-organized, self-governed, sustainable, high performing teams that deliver continuously and look for continuous improvement opportunities
- Embody agility using a servant leadership approach with the product owner, Development team and leadership
Required Skills:
- 4-7 years of experience in Technology and working across IT and Business organizations supporting delivery of projects
- 1-2 years work experience in a SAFe or scaled Agile environment as well as experience in guiding or transforming teams into scaled Agile environment
- 4-7 years of experience working as a Scrum Master in a software development environment and leveraging agile methodologies
- Bachelor degree and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification or equivalent
required
Deep understanding of Scrum Framework and the agile principles - Demonstrated experience in different agile methodologies such as: Scrum, Kanban and SAFe
- Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection and other Scrum techniques
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation and coaching skills
- Preferred experience utilizing Azure Devops for Sprint work and dashboards
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams
- Exudes a positive attitude and supports and personifies department standards and initiatives
- Flexible to evolve as department and company initiatives change
