ClickUp is seeking a mid-level Quality Engineer with experience in software development and testing. This individual should have a strong understanding of Cypress, Playwright, and Agile methodologies.


The ideal QE understands the importance of Quality Assurance and has prior experience working with development teams to build robust test frameworks and automated tests using Cypress or Playwright. The Role:

  • Develop and Maintain Test Automation Frameworks:
    • Develop, optimize, and maintain modular and scalable test automation frameworks.
    • Utilize programming skills to write automated test scripts, usually employing languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
    • Support test automation infrastructure (Cypress or Playwrite)
    2. Design and Execute Automated Tests:
    • Design, develop, and execute automated tests, incorporating different testing methodologies like unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
    • Work with the development and QA teams to define and implement test strategy and test plans.
    3. Participate in Software Development Lifecycle:
    • Engage in the software development process, providing input on design and architectural decisions, reviewing code, and developing features and tools.
    • Understand the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies and integrate the testing processes within them.
    4. Identify and Report Defects:
    • Identify, log, and track defects.
    • Work closely with the development team to resolve defects and verify fixes.
    • Facilitate root cause analysis of defects and implement preventative actions.
    5. Enhance Software Quality:
    • Advocate for quality across the software development lifecycle, promoting best practices and processes to enhance the quality of the product.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Reports to the QA Manager
  • Work with the development team to ensure high-quality product releases
  • Collaborate with product management team to define product requirements and specifications
  • Help identify new opportunities for product improvement and new feature development
  • Contribute to the company's reputation for high-quality products through rigorous testing

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct experience in the role of QE/SDET
  • Experience in a tech or SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficient in using test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
  • Proven success in building and improving test automation frameworks
Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 (base pay) This position is eligible for the following benefits:
