Security Operations Analyst
Summary of the role:
Amadeus North American is seeking an experienced Information Security professional for a Security Analyst position with our Global Security Operations Center team. The role will perform security focused operational duties in incident response and management and hardening of IT systems and applications. This will include responsibilities for monitoring and maintaining the technologies that detect attacks against the Amadeus global infrastructure.
A successful candidate will have broad technical expertise in designing, engineering, and maintaining information security technology tools and platforms, planning and executing security tool deployments, activity monitoring and protecting sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks. This role can participate in on-call rotations and assist with incident response and security investigations. The position has frequent interaction with senior technical and business leaders and the candidate should be comfortable speaking to stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
In this role you'll:
- Stay current on security technology and threats applicable to Amadeus and affiliates environments
- Respond to and investigate potential and confirmed security incidents. Perform root cause analysis on security incidents and document the entire incident response process
- Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of Amadeus networks, systems, applications, customers and data
- Support application security automation
- Ability to threat model enterprise applications
- Perform architecture reviews of developed software applications and technical systems
- Understanding of key InfoSec regulations & frameworks (PCI, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Assist with the analysis and administration of Web Application Firewalls
- Support security analysts' colleagues with additional technical analysis of events or incidents
- Participate in Vulnerability and Threat Management program
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to security designs/configurations, processes, and requirements and procedures
- Experience with scripting in Bash or Python, PowerShell or other similar scripting languages
- Follow a structured change control process
- About the ideal candidate:
- 3+ years of experience engineering and administering security technologies
- 3+ years of experience with Digital Forensics / Incident Response
- 3+ years as a SOC Analyst or Incident Manager experience
- Experience with SIEM tuning and creating custom correlation rules in QRadar, Splunk or other SIEM tools
- Experience with Vulnerability Management tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys
- Exposure to EDR tools such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black, etc.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate security concepts to a technical and non-technical audience including senior management
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell preferred but not required
- Information Security Certifications such as SSCP, CISSP, OSCP, CEH preferred but not required
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Ability to establish positive relationships quickly; work effectively cross-functionally
- Work well under pressure by effectively managing multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast pace environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity and ability to drive results in a complex, multicultural environment and at different hierarchical levels
- High integrity and ethical behavior standards
