Job Description
The SEM Specialist is comfortable managing multiple paid & meta search accounts. They are detail-oriented, data driven with a curious and action-oriented attitude when analyzing performance. Strong communication skills will be important as they will be sharing performance insights with the internal team as well as participating in client calls. While they will have regular calls with a more senior member of the SEM team to discuss strategy on their accounts, they should be able to work independently while also embracing collaboration as part of a team.
Essential Functions
- Proactive ownership of several (3-5) multi-property client paid search campaigns across Google, Bing and Meta search platforms.
- Monitoring performance/delivery throughout each month, analyzing the data to quickly identify and respond to any issues or trends.
- Optimizing existing campaigns according to historical performance and building new campaigns, as needed.
- Providing actionable monthly performance insights to accelerate performance.
- Actively looking for incremental opportunities to test or bring forward recommendations to build on success or to highlight new customer business segments.
- Presenting insights and recommendations internally and to clients.
- Researching new relevant keywords to target within Search campaigns based on search query reports and other relevant tactics
- Perform regular audits of your campaigns, actively looking for ways to improve performance, drive efficiencies and replacing outdated campaigns/keywords
- Regularly conducting bid management and assessing keyword copy needs in support of the clients’ goals.
- Participating in strategy planning for new clients
- Actively building knowledge base including staying current on the latest trends in digital media, attribution, and the role of search in the customer journey.
- Staying current on trends in the hospitality industry.
Required Education and Experience:
- BA or BS from accredited college or university
- The candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience executing and managing paid search campaigns
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred Education and Experience
- Google Analytics Certified
- Search Ads 360 experience a plus
- Knowledge of metasearch campaigns and DerbySoft experience a plus
