C# Web Developer (Sherpa)

Are you an experienced C# Web Engineer with a background in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR space)?  Does reducing time and waste in healthcare delivery sound like a mission you want to support?  Our SHERPA development team at PRECISIONxtract is hiring a full stack C# Developer to join our team and grow our patient centered platforms!

THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, but job seekers must currently reside in United States (ideally in US Eastern time zone).

About You:

  • You are an experienced full-stack C# Web Developer who understands integrations with third party APIs and third party external applications
  • You have experience created rich user experiences across a variety of web platforms – experiences that help users save time versus manual entry of information
  • You have a background and understanding of external EMR technologies (EPIC, Cerner or similar) along with their privacy needs for created integrations.

About The Role:

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the development of product / platform enhancements, code review of 3rd party vendor applications, day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. Responsibilities also include root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Service Support team members. 

 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Provide expertise in solution architectural design encompassing the application’s ecosystem.
  • Create technical requirements for development colleagues to implement.
  • Integrate and build FHIR compliant APIs meeting HIPAA requirements for security.
  • Integrate and build custom APIs meeting HIPAA requirements for security.
  • Develop user interfaces leveraging JS libraries.
  • Develop product unit tests that will be used for future application regression testing.
  • Conduct risk-based code reviews for applications authored by our development partners.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to our development partners.
  • Design and estimate new platform changes or enhancements.
  • Monitors process and software changes that could impact application development procedures.
  • Measures application development key performance indicators, for example: bug density, sprint analysis, test coverage, etc.
  • Follows established procedures for change management across applications where changes are necessary.
  • Creates WIKI articles for common processes that are repeated and can be shared with others.
  • Ensure all application changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology and risk guidelines.
  • Suggest fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect.
  • Review the daily work executed by the application development team, and provide guidance related to application design.
  • Coordinate with Application Development Team & DevOps Team to successfully deploy software releases in both User Acceptance Testing and Production environments.
  • Interact with end users, internal users, development vendors, data analysts, and other engagement team members.
  • Work with the CloudOps and DevOps teams to setup environments for all new implementations.
  • Configure Single Sign On integrations for client builds.
  • Work well in collaborative scrum agile environments where self-organizing cohorts and peer-to-peer programming are the norm.

Required Experience:

  • BA in Computer Science or Programming
  • 7-10 years of experience working in healthcare industry as an engineer
  • Experience developing in HIPAA compliant ecosystem
  • Hands on knowledge of the following tools and technologies: SQL Server, ASP.Net (MVC) C#, Windows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • EHR Experience: Epic, Cerner and/or iKnowMed
  • Enterprise application design (scalable design)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure hosting components
  • Experience using bootstrap components for rapid delivery of web applications.
  • Experience with Workflow engines
  • Experience with Message Queue platforms

Preferred:

  • .Net Core
  • FHIR API
  • Entity Framework
  • Dapper

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
