Senior Accountant

We are well-known for products ranging from fun and trendy gifts to stationery and personalized gifts. Many of our unique and creative cards and gifts are designed and manufactured at our Colorado Springs, CO location.

We are looking for a strong Senior Accountant with solid GAAP knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to navigate in a dynamic environment.  This position will report directly to the Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and project income statements/balance sheets and various other accounting statements and reports.
• Analyze financial records and complete reconciliations of financial components such as Inventory, A/R, A/P, cashflow and general ledgers for month-end close process.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts by working with all levels of the company.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, fixed assets and expenditures.
• Prepare, review and verify journal entries and acccounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Conduct special studies and develop recommended accounting methods and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
• Provide guidance, training and advice to team members.
• Ability to prepare and present financial results to the Executive Team/Ownership .

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess high level of Excel skills, with the ability to work with multiple complex spreadsheets, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Requires an Accounting or Finance Degree. CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of related/relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Possess and apply a broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Manufacturing experience preferred. Cost Accounting a plus.
• Proficient with ERP systems.
• SAP experience a plus.
