Senior Accountant

THE ROLE: Senior Accountant

What You’ll Do:

• Own the monthly close process with specific areas of focus including preparation of consolidated financial statements for outside entities and detailed account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliations of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
• Perform variance analysis of actual vs budget/forecast by department and investigate unusual variances
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of month end close
• Manage fixed asset register in PeopleSoft, reconcile to GL, prepare fixed assets rollforward
• Interact cross functionally with key business leaders to gather all relevant financial data to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting

• • 3+ years experience performing accounting for a mid-sized company. Retail/ecommerce a plus!
  • Knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting. PeopleSoft and Avalara experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills. Advanced Excel preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • CPA a plus

Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
