This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant - General Ledger in United States.
As a Senior Accountant specializing in the General Ledger, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for a high-growth, mission-driven organization. You will own the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, and analyze account reconciliations, providing critical insights for management decisions. This position offers the opportunity to streamline processes, support audits, and collaborate across finance, FP&A, and technical accounting teams. Accountabilities:

  • Independently manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and deferred revenue accounting.
  • Prepare detailed explanations for balance sheet and P&L fluctuations to support management reporting and analysis.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal control policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes related to data integrity, timely reporting, and financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Technical Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and process efficiency.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments as required.
  • Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred or in progress.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and highly analytical with attention to detail.
  • Experience in SaaS/Tech or high-growth industries preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance programs, external audits, and applying ASC guidance (340, 842, 718) a plus.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial systems such as FloQast, NetSuite, Coupa, Ramp, or Jira is advantageous.
  • Ability to work business hours in the PST time zone.
