Senior Accountant - Remote US

The Opportunity

 We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join and help grow our accounting team.  The ideal candidate must be able to deliver exceptional performance in a fun, energetic and entrepreneurial environment.  A successful Senior Accountant combines a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and analytical skills to help prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial reports. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating with cross functional teams and supervising staff accountants. 

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze revenue and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis and in accordance with US GAAP
• Compile , analyze, and report any variances on  financial statements and month end reporting
• Develop and/or analyze various financial reports for use by management
• Prepare  audit schedules and work closely with the auditors to ensure timely completion of audit 
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Payable workload as needed
• Responsible for special projects/other miscellaneous and departmental related duties as necessary
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

What you Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, prior Big 4 experience a plus
• Experience with various accounting packages including NetSuite or Sage Inacct
• Prior system implementation experience a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google sheets.
• Strong leader with ability to train and manage staff.
• Ability to work in remote setting.
