Senior Accounting Analyst

Southeast Toyota Finance is the captive finance company for 177 Toyota dealers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. This position is in the Financial System and Portfolio Control area of Financial Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monthly accounting and financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and account trend/variance analysis.
• Analyze monthly operating expenses; identify any irregularities and collaborate with the team to validate and/or resolve them.
• Prepare monthly financial statement analytics and present them to Value Chain Management.
• Review current GAAP, participate in documentation and development of accounting policy, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
• Assist with annual GAAP financial statement audits; prepare requested audit schedules, provide account information, and answer auditors' questions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance controls, efficiency, and automation.
• Prepare ad hoc requests and participate in special projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA Preferred/In Process.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience required; public accounting preferred.
• Strong technical accounting skills required including experience in researching, interpreting, and applying GAAP.
• High proficiency in utilizing Excel, including advanced formulas and basic macros. Essbase knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
• High degree of accuracy is required and ability to work well under pressure and multi-task to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in identifying, recommending, and implementing process enhancements a plus.
• Ability to be flexible/adaptable and work under strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in Premium Pro, Blackline, NetSuite, Essbase, & Vertafore/AMS360 a plus.
