We're looking for an accounting professional to support our growing Crop Protection, Seed, and Animal Health businesses. This is a fast-paced business designed to help farmers purchase inputs at transparent prices over the FBN Direct e-commerce platform.

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $145,000 - $163,000.
This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.

Mission:
We're looking for an accounting professional to support our growing Crop Protection, Seed, and Animal Health businesses. This is a fast-paced business designed to help farmers purchase inputs at transparent prices over the FBN Direct e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly-close processes within FBN Direct businesses, including journal entries, reconciliation reviews, financial statement preparation and business reporting.
- Manage the inventory count calendar to ensure that all locations are being counted and reconciled as scheduled.
- Perform and/or review E&O and LCM inventory reserves calculations.
- Review accounting impact of assembly builds to ensure the proper costing.
- Support internal, external and bank audits. Manage the audit process for areas within job-scope, and provide audit-supporting documentation.
- Prepare relevant schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits; work closely with external auditors.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline and strengthen accounting processes.
- Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of accounting and/or audit experience with an inventory-manufacturing business, CPA strongly preferred, 2+ years in a Big 4/international accounting firm
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SOX/internal controls, and public-company financial statement preparation
- Strong technical research skills, including experience with US GAAP and other accounting standards related to revenue recognition and inventory accounting, foreign exchange, and inter-company transactions
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) is a plus
