The Job
As we grow, we are looking for a new Accounts Receivable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a teamwork environment.
You'll report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and will have a key position within our company's order to cash process. You'll compile, record, verify, maintain data, and input payments to the Accounts Receivable records. In addition, you will assist the Finance department with monthly accounting functions and general ledger close, including account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting.
Other responsibilities include:

• Review proposed contracts for potential accounting, tax or operational implications and advise accordingly.
• Maintain customer receivable accounts within company guidelines, manage invoice to cash process.
• Maintain an accurate Accounts Receivable Aging report.
• Reconcile AR ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Provide timely, clear, and accurate response to internal and external customers.
• Collection efforts to ensure timely payment and billing resolution.
• Work with customers to resolve any billing or payment issues.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices.
• Maintain sales tax exemption certificates.
• Process monthly and annually sales tax fillings as needed.
• Assist with the monthly general ledger close.
• Ensure assigned accounts are properly reconciled each month, along with supporting variance analysis and explanations where applicable.
• Preparation and submission of adjusting journal entries for assigned areas.
• Prepares reports required by management.
• Other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Here's the experience we're looking for:

• Sufficient knowledge of US GAAP
• Extensive relevant accounting experience
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic tech environment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills across all levels of the business and global locations.
