About This Job
We are looking for a senior-level analyst with client-facing experience who will lead Dutchie’s advertising technology reporting and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate would have experience at an ads platform which handles functionality for both the demand and supply side of the advertising marketplace. This person must be comfortable in front of customers – both brands and retailers – and be able to work with product and engineering teams to design and build native reporting and analytics solutions tailored to Dutchie’s ads customers.Â

Candidates should have a robust knowledge of digital advertising. They should be able to speak to strategic advertising initiatives with customers, as well as recommend and surface metrics that drive decisions around ad spend, targeting, and optimizing returns. Candidates should know table-stakes metrics like ROAS, CPC, CPM, AOV, and be able to calculate more advanced metrics like sales lift as a result of ads, and diminishing returns. Candidates should have experience with more-advanced analytics such as optimizing ad spend as a percentage of sales and forecasting performance.

The Senior Ads Analyst will have the opportunity to lead and shape the future of ad tech analytics at Dutchie, directly impacting the success of the company’s advertising solutions and revenue trajectory in a rapidly evolving digital cannabis marketplace.
What You'll Do...
- Spearhead Dutchie’s advertising technology reporting and analytics projects, focusing on developing insights that improve ad performance for both brands and retailers.
- Regularly meet with customers (brands and retailers) to discuss and refine their advertising strategies based on data-driven insights and industry trends, and to present analytical findings that inform decisions on ad spend and optimization.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to design, develop, and implement reporting and analytics solutions that meet the specific needs of Dutchie’s ads customers.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Conducting in-depth analysis of advertising data to identify trends, calculate key metrics (e.g., ROAS, CPC, CPM, sales lift, AOV), and forecast performance to optimize returns on ad spend.
- Education and Training: Providing guidance and training to clients and internal stakeholders on the use of Dutchie’s analytics tools and reports, ensuring they can effectively leverage these resources to achieve their advertising objectives.
- Product Development Support: Assisting in the translation of analytical proofs of concept into customer-facing products, ensuring the solutions developed are aligned with client needs and market demands.
What You Bring...
- 3-5 years of experience in similar role
- Proficient in delivering targeted insights and actionable reports from digital advertising data, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of effectively communicating with customers and building strong external relationships.
- Strong skills in SQL, dbt, git, and data visualization tools (preferably Looker). Python skills are a plus.
- Experience in working with product and engineering teams to turn analytical proofs of concept into scalable, customer-facing products.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising industry, including knowledge of ad platform capabilities, current trends, and the specific needs of advertisers and retailers.
