Senior AI Software Engineer

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the next generation of AI infrastructure, blending cloud-native engineering with cutting-edge AI products. You will work on high-impact open-source projects, including Kubernetes-based AI orchestration, proxy systems for AI workflows, and high-performance API gateways, all integrated with modern service mesh technologies. The position involves both customer-facing problem solving and internal development, enabling you to directly influence product adoption and usability. You will collaborate with talented engineers, participate in design reviews, and mentor peers, shaping both technical strategy and team growth. • Develop and deliver robust, high-quality solutions for complex AI and cloud-native problems
• Optimize and maintain APIs, ensuring seamless operation across containerized and cloud-native environments
• Translate ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks with clear, high-impact outcomes
• Propose and implement innovative approaches to advance products and solve technical challenges
• Establish and maintain coding best practices, ensuring codebase health and maintainability
• Mentor and guide team members through code and design reviews to foster growth and collaboration
• Participate in recruitment and hiring to expand and scale a high-performing engineering team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with Containers, Kubernetes, and Golang in production environments
• Strong track record building server-side software and deploying scalable systems to production
• Deep understanding of engineering trade-offs, system design, and performance considerations
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bonus: experience with Istio or other service meshes, Envoy Proxy, Kubernetes controllers/operators, AI frameworks and protocols such as ADK, MCP, A2A, or working with Kubernetes Gateway API
