As part of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, you will handle a wide range of projects to support and improve the organization’s clinical offerings: a portfolio of multi-faceted, highly-integrated, technology-enabled services. Working closely with clinical, operations, and technology leaders, you will have a front seat to clinical innovation and technology that will provide a launch pad to grow your career in healthcare. As a new member of the team, you’ll be part of a larger group responsible for advancing the clinical model and how technology enables it, as well as, strategizing on processes and technological workflows to help reduce the cost of patient care while improving clinical quality and patient health outcomes.

How you can make a difference

• Supporting clinical, operations, and technology leaders with end-to-end project management and strategic planning, from initial scoping of initiatives through the implementation in local markets
• Participating in identifying process improvement opportunities and presenting them to leadership, in accordance with a culture of continuous, energetic development of workflows increasing efficiency and transparency for stakeholders
• Working to develop both technological and operational tools required to bring clinical innovation to life within the context of our clinical model
• Acting as a liaison between analytics and Clinical Technology team leadership to measure and monitor clinical initiatives, focusing on both process and outcome metrics
• Presenting thoughtful analytical summaries to clinical and operational team members, using strong written and verbal communication
• Collaborating with the national operations teams and local market leadership to support the implementation of the VillageMD clinical model and to continuously track progress and areas for improvement

What you might do in your first year:

• Organizing all workstreams within a clinical initiative through detailed project plans and clear documentation of action items, progress and supporting materials

• Moving clinical initiatives forward by planning meeting agendas and communicating with workstream owners to ensure timely follow-up of all action items from the project plan
• Aiding in the creation of project overview materials, process flows, and training materials to operationalize clinical technology and innovation within the context of our clinical model
• Working directly with technology and analytics partners to create technological workflows for end-users of the clinical initiative and continuously measure efficiency and adherence to the workflow

• Ability to clearly communicate through various platforms (large meetings, 1:1 meetings, email) and hold others accountable

• A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through strong communication and doing what you say you will do

• Comfort with occasional travel to our markets depending on business needs

Experience to drive change:

• 1+ years relevant experience with healthcare consulting, operations management, project management or participating in process improvement project teams
• Prior roles in a consulting firm or high-growth start-up environment would be a serious plus, as would experience deploying practices into value-based care or other clinical programs
• A Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, economics, engineering, public health, community health or healthcare administration, or a pre-professional program with interest in another area of healthcare
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required, experience in Smartsheet software is a plus
• Basic knowledge and understanding of healthcare industry and operations
• Experience working with providers or clinical staff a plus
