Location: We are a remote-first company. This role can be based anywhere in the US.

The Opportunity

As the Senior Analyst of Risk Analytics & Strategy, you will be a critical member of Mosaic’s Risk team and instrumental in setting and refining Mosaic’s risk management strategies. You will report on portfolio performance, analyze approval, prepayment and loss trends and recommend improvements to credit and collections strategies. You will answer questions from investors, capital providers and internal stakeholders with supporting data. You will provide analytical support for the Capital Markets functions by helping to answer investor and rating agency inquiries, as well as provide support for the Sales organization by reporting on partner trends. You will also work on our loss forecasting and loss provisioning projects.

Your day-to-day

  • Manage, direct and perform data analyses to develop and refine financial model assumptions and credit and collections strategies.
  • Develop and improve reporting tools that demonstrate performance trends and monitor risk indicators.
  • Communicate findings to executive leadership team and other stakeholders and recommend strategies to address business problems.
  • Work with Technology to recommend improvements to Mosaic’s data infrastructure and management process.
  • Work with internal and external teams to understand and communicate asset performance to the investor community.

What you bring to the team

  • 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience in financial services
  • Strong data handling and analysis skills using tools including SQL, Python, R and SAS.
  • Development experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated success translating high level, critical business questions into a structured project plan, conducting supporting analysis and presenting the results to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience directing more junior analysts and reviewing results for accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline such as statistics, econometrics, math, engineering
  • Able to multi-task and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Good business judgment that enables timely execution and escalates key issues

Bonus Points

  • Experience creating BI tools for self-service to data and insights, particularly in Tableau
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in the Solar or Home Improvement industry
  • Desire to help combat climate change

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
