Job Description:

We are seeking Senior Android Engineers who have proven experience developing and supporting native Android mobile applications in a collaborative environment to develop highly interactive digital experiences.

Candidates will take direction from managers and tech leads while communicating issues, providing estimates, and helping to envision creative solutions to technical issues. Senior Android Engineers must identify project risks, raise concerns with project leadership, and provide alternatives to handling risks by working with creative, experience, and development team members to identify and resolve issues.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to master new / emerging technologies, stay up-to-date with relevant technologies, and proactively suggest architecture changes and new coding practices. They must also take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions, including leading code reviews and mentoring more junior developers.

The candidate must have consulting experience, be a team player with a positive attitude, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing Android mobile applications
  • Experience developing Android applications in Kotlin and Java
  • Expert understanding of Android SDK (Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, Services, Push, Location Services, Biometric Authentication)
  • Expert with one or more common modern mobile architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, VIPER) and reactive programming
  • Experience with Android end-to-end app development and marketplace release process.
  • Experience creating and collaborating to create unit and integration test cases using tools like Espresso
  • Solid grasp of mobile networking concepts, RESTful API and GraphQL web services
  • Experience with source control tools like Git
  • Expertise in app memory management, multithreading, networking & Security

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$106,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
