The Senior Application Architect will be collaborating with Quality Engineering and solutions architects for capabilities and services that support enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities
Application Architect Responsibilities:
- Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing Quality Engineering capabilities.
- Take ownership of application's design, testing, and modification stages.
- Demonstrating application prototypes and integrating user feedback.
- Writing scripts and code specification for applications.
- Mentoring junior application developers and providing end-users with technical support.
- Creating technical approaches application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration.
- Documenting application development processes, procedures, and standards.
- Integrating trends in application architecture in application development projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an application architect, preferably in a related industry.
- Hands on experience in architecting applications in microservice and API patterns/frameworks.
- Hands on experiences in designing application containerization, Kubernetes and open system platforms.
- Experience in designing hybrid cloud solutions, cloud agnostic and cloud native services.
- Preferably, some previous experience in programming languages, such as SQL, Java, C, and .NET.
- Hands on experience in designing structured and non-structured databases (RDS & NoSQL).
- Experience in aligning application development with business needs.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance to the technical tam and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Great collaboration and communication skills.
Additional Information
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Work-At-Home Requirements
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
