Join us as a Senior Architect - Platform Services on our Software Engineering team. This will be a US Remote position.
What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Architect - Platform Services you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.
What you will do
- Collaborate and align on Boomi’s overall engineering strategy and technical direction
- Socialize and evangelize capabilities of the assigned domain to other domains and organizations
- Identify new trends, emerging technology adoption opportunities, and patterns
- Perform discovery and research of a problem or opportunity from idea to a path forward
- Be a champion of Boomi’s overall engineering strategy and technical direction for the Domain by guiding and mentoring teams on best practices and technical standards
- Serve as an initial point of contact or external stakeholder engagement to understand the overall business asks for specific domain solutions
- Perform discovery and research of a problem or opportunity from idea to a path forward
- Curate larger technical initiatives into team level backlogs
- Unblock technical challenges or impediments on a team
- Drive organization-wide initiatives across agile development teams
- Work closely with Product Management to perform high-level problem analysis and solution design
What you’ll need to succeed in this role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to earn trust of the team and lead by example
- Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
- Experience in software development, including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product
- Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence
- Expert level experience with Java, Python, source control systems, continuous integration tools
- Expert level experience using AWS technologies such as Cloudformation, AWS CLI, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2
- Proven expertise with architectural patterns, design principles, distributed cloud-native apps, public cloud/cloud-native principles, enterprise “-ilities”, proficiencies with APIs, microservices,
- Expert level experience with Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL
Additional experience desired
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in technical leadership
- Experience using Linux/Unix environments
- AWS Developer or Architect certification
- Experience with SQL, relational databases and ORM tools like Hibernate
- Experience with SpringBoot
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic.
