Senior Azure Data Engineer (Remote)

Job Description:

• Work as part of a team to develop Azure Cloud Applications using ADLS Gen 2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience working with large datasets, data lakes (lakehouse), and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Synapse, Databricks, or similar
• Ability to provide solutions that are forward-thinking in data and analytics. Participate in driving best practices around data engineering and software development process
• Designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines, preferably Azure Data Factory and Azure data bricks using Python, SQL, PySpark
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps Pipelines for deployment automation of data solutions.
• Experience leveraging, designing, and building database schemas for analytics (preferably SQL Server and NoSQL)

Mandatory qualification:

3+ years hands on working experience on following with:

• Client phasing role
• Experienced in Py-spark Coding and SQL
• Azure Data Factory and creation of pipelines
• Azure Data Bricks (Spark, Python)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experienced using GIT/Azure Devops for deployment

Preferred Qualification:

• Managing azure storage (Azure Datalake Gen2, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL database)
• Designing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
• Azure DevOps
• Hive
• NOSQL

Work Environment

• Office environment: Home Office
