Senior Brand Designer

We’re seeking a Senior Brand Designer to shape and elevate our brand identity from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to be the first brand hire at Vannevar, reporting directly to our Head of Design. About the role 

As our Senior Brand Designer, you will have the creative freedom and responsibility to define and develop Vannevar Labs' brand identity. You will create and implement brand guidelines that influence every aspect of our company, from marketing materials to product interfaces. Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product teams, and leadership, you will ensure a cohesive and compelling brand presence across all platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead Brand Strategy: Define and drive the overall brand strategy in alignment with company goals and mission.
• Develop and Own Brand Guidelines: Establish and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that set the standard for our visual and verbal identity.
• Create Compelling Visual Content: Design internal and external assets, including presentations, illustrations, digital content, and print materials.
• Elevate Online Presence: Oversee the design and continuous improvement of our marketing website and digital platforms.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure brand consistency and integration.
• Shape Product Visual Identity: Partner with product designers to weave our brand identity seamlessly into the user experience.
• Innovate and Inspire: Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh ideas to keep our brand at the forefront of design innovation.
• Design Company Swag: Create branded merchandise that resonates with our team and audience.

What we look for

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of brand design experience with a proven track record of leading brand initiatives for at least 3 years in-house.
• Strong Portfolio: A portfolio that demonstrates innovative brand work, strong conceptual thinking, and excellence in typography, illustration, and visual design.
• Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate business goals into effective design strategies.
• Collaborative Leader: Strong interpersonal skills with experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders.
• Communication Expert: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions.
• Passion for Impact: A genuine interest in our mission to enhance national security through advanced technology.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
