You Will:
  • Make an impact: as a senior technical individual contributor on dv01’s cloud team, you’ll have an opportunity to shape how we work, who we are, and what we build.
  • Bring your experience and perspective to our team: you’ve worked in distributed environments, understand orchestration and microservices, and enjoy managing cloud-based infrastructure at scale.
  • Lead by example—you’re comfortable teaching, demonstrating best practices, giving advice, and bringing people up to speed. You take time to mentor junior engineers so they can build out their expertise.
  • Develop automation and self-service tooling to help other engineers help themselves
  • Design, implement and build deployment workflows: partner across engineering teams to automate our provisioning and delivery process for microservices, containers, and other infrastructure.
  • Create tools and utilities to keep our applications and services running smoothly.
  • Join us in practicing candor and transparency: we all learn from and support each other; we also hold each other accountable. You’re not afraid to ask tough questions, respectfully challenge ideas, or admit when you’re wrong.
  You Have:
  • 5+ years of cloud platform experience and profound understanding of at least one of the Big Three (Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure.) While you are familiar with modern cloud-native abstractions (containers, serverless functions, etc.), you are also comfortable working with non-containerized workflows. 
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, or the ability to learn GCP quickly.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems at scale. You understand what works well and what doesn’t. Experienced architecting automated provisioning pipelines (IaC, Terraform, YAML, ARM Templates), and configuration management for infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience with orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes, Mesos, Puppet or Nomad. (Bonus points for multiple orchestrators!) 
  • You’ve written production-grade Terraform or Pulumi and can consult with teams on how best to automate their deployments.
  • Broad knowledge of Policy/Blueprints and other cloud governance models.
  • Developer centric processes. Hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc
  • A sense of professional stewardship: as a senior engineer, you understand the value of your experience. You take your role as a mentor seriously and are energized by helping your colleagues learn and grow.

In good faith our salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000 but are not tied to it. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience, expertise, and other business considerations.
