Our Production Engineering team is responsible for the underlying infrastructure that powers the 1Password application.

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer you'll play a pivotal role in developing an infrastructure platform streamlining service deployment and empowering teams with essential tools for efficient management. Collaborating closely with various teams you'll ensure a seamless experience with the platform implementing automation solutions to deploy services efficiently and reduce overall toil. Prioritizing observability through monitoring and alerting you'll contribute to improved reliability. In a dynamic Production Engineering team you'll work collaboratively to establish and refine the infrastructure platform dedicated to providing reliable and scalable solutions.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems microservices architecture and a proven track record in designing scalable and resilient infrastructure.

• Proficient scripting skills for automation and operations using languages like Go or similar tools. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• Demonstrated proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring/alerting systems (Prometheus Grafana or Datadog). Ability to respond to incidents promptly and implement preventive measures.

• Expertise in performance analysis and optimization techniques. Experience in capacity planning for efficient workload management.

• Solid understanding of security best practices with a track record of implementing robust security measures. Familiarity with industry compliance standards.

• Contribute to a dynamic Production Engineering team dedicated to providing reliable and scalable infrastructure.

Bonus points for:

• Demonstrated experience in managing and deploying services at scale within a Kubernetes environment showcasing a deep understanding of container orchestration.

• Proven background working with and supporting services in a large SaaS environment navigating the complexities of a dynamic service ecosystem.

• Track record of implementing automation solutions to significantly reduce operational toil demonstrating a commitment to optimizing efficiency in day-to-day operations.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $146000 USD and $198000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health dental 401k and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $126000 CAD and $170000 CAD plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health dental RRSP and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.
