Senior Commercial Product Manager, Invoicing
Job Description
The Senior Commercial Product Manager owns the commercial lifecycle of one or two products or premium features from incubation of new ideas through support costs and customer adoption. This position works with internal and external business partners to help define and document the product requirements needed to create world-class order invoice-to-cash products. The Senior Commercial Product Manager collaborates with development and engineering leads to define requirements, design detailed functionality, and advocate the development process through to implementation. This position is responsible for delivering business objectives through successful go to market and utilization. The Senior Commercial Product Manager is an expert with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions and target markets, and uses knowledge to facilitate profitable growth of their product portfolio.Â
What You'll Do:
- Act as a subject matter expert for product, serve as a liaison between the revenue side of the business and the product teamÂ
- Ensure the prioritized backlog is maintained so each successive sprint can be planned clearly and efficientlyÂ
- Evaluate new feature enhancement requests and ideas, based on market demand, ROI and client impactÂ
- Manage all aspects of the product scorecard; track relevant KPIs based on business objectivesÂ
- Provide transparency on results and planning through accurate and automated reportingÂ
- Provide clients with the appropriate guidance and direction with regards to roadmap priority; identify and leverage clients to assist with developing new functionality and solutionsÂ
- Work in partnership with sales to ensure proper education on the value statements of the product; act as a product liaison across teams as neededÂ
- Collaborate with development and engineering leads during product development as neededÂ
- Review monthly prospect win loss reports with product marketing and assist with developing the strategy surrounding Go-To-Market (GTM) initiativesÂ
- Lead the yearly planning baseline; define tradeoffs, benefits and impact of workÂ
- Recognize the drivers for financial health of the product portfolio; account for tradeoffs and present optionsÂ
- Process accountability regarding cadence and product ceremonies/deliverablesÂ
- Manage a higher volume of large product initiatives within a defined period, ensuring a successful build outcomeÂ
- Act as a mentor and coach for other product managersÂ
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7+ years of relevant, previous product ownership experience across multiple companies
- Ability to successfully manage product backlog in a fast-paced, product-centric environmentÂ
- Proven Experience in Go-To-Market (GTM)/Launch strategyÂ
- Experience in data driven solutioningÂ
- Strong understanding of market drivers and considerations, familiarity with Total Addressable Market (TAM), Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), Target Customer Profile (ICP)Â
- Demonstrated understanding of cost and revenue drivers of software productsÂ
- Ability to communicate effectively technically, as well as with senior leadershipÂ
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologyÂ
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skillsÂ
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and work well in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in SaaS, online payments, and software or product-centric businessÂ
- Strong understanding of software solution designÂ
- Ability to plan for future strategy while maintaining the current deliveryÂ
- Ability to lead release activities from analysis through to implementationÂ
- Ability to work directly with clients in user forum, round table, or customer outreach sessionsÂ
Base Compensation: $115,000- $140,000 + (bonus offered in addition to base compensation)
Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
