Senior Computer Scientist - Adobe Advertising

The Challenge

Adobe Advertising is the first end-to-end independent advertising and data management solution that spans traditional TV and digital formats, simplifying what has been a complex and fragmented process for the world's biggest brands. We support many large enterprise customers in different parts of the world.

Building a robust fault tolerant and highly available system at very high scale while providing ease and convenience to disparate solutions and enterprise customers is a key to our success. We use Big Data, Open-Source technologies and home-grown solutions to develop various services for Adobe Solutions, Customers and Partners.

We are looking for a highly motivated backend architect who is knowledgeable in distributed computing and cloud native applications. You are a specialist in building highly scalable services and record of building and delivering sophisticated cloud services. You have the passion for writing highly performant code and ability to take the service from inception to production. You participate in the latest industry trends and advocate strongly for standard methodologies and solutions.

What you will need to succeed

• 10+ years' industry experience, including experience owning the development of enterprise-scale backend cloud services.

• Expertise in Advanced Java, Microservices, Highly Scalable Cloud services, and experience with platforms for managing containerized workloads and services like Kubernetes, AWS.

• Proficient in working with multithreaded applications, RESTful Web Services

• Track record of delivering software releases on time with high quality

• Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly

• Proficient in the use of one or more of Java

• Proficient in Object Oriented analysis and design

• Experience with Spring or a similar framework

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Agile Software Development techniques

• Experience with Cloud Computing such as Kubernetes, AWS

• BTech/MTech/MS in Computer Science

What you'll do

• Work with highly scalable distributed systems and own some of the cloud services

• Value each and every ms and optimize for highly responsive APIs

• Participate in all aspects of software development activities including design, estimation, coding, code review, unit-testing and bug fixing

• Mentor junior developers to help our team reach its maximum potential

• Work in multi-functional teams to ensure superb end-to-end user experiences for our customers

• Fast prototyping of ideas and concepts

• Research the latest industry trends
